Children are able to express themselves through writing petition letters about forestry related concerns that require redress by school administration or local leaders.
The objective of children learning about forests in the communities are as follows;
To promote sustainable forestry resource management practices through forest education in schools and the neighboring communities.
Promote LEAF in Ugandan schools as a tool to enhance forestry education and child-nature connection.
Contribute towards increase in forest cover in Uganda through conservation of natural forests and promotion of afforestation as a tool to mitigate climate change and desertification.
To empower learners with confidence and action competence to engage duty bearers, other stakeholders on forestry related issues that affect their quality of life.
