Why not have a “No Car Day”.
Can you image a day without your car? What if every Ugandan who owns a car didn’t drive for a specified day? For a lot of the “rich Ugandans”, that would be pretty tough. But, the average earning drivers, presumably that would be as easy as 1… 2… 3… and not even shying away from the idea.
A day without a car is such an impressive gesture – regardless of whether it has a big impact on emissions, symbolically I think it demonstrates a strong commitment to sustainability, and I think it is a great way to morale boost the discussions about emissions reduction. The more we appreciate our environment, the better for our planet earth and future generations.
